One of the things we discovered as a nice day trip/Granada "get-away" was to visit the restaurant El Bucanero in nearby Masaya/Ndiri. Its an easy 20 minute bus-ride and the restaurant overlooks Lake Masaya, right next to Masaya volcano. The view is phenomenal, the food decent, and it has a large pool (plus a kiddy pool) that you can use if you eat at the restaurant. We teamed up a few times with our friends Max and Kristyn, and their kids Nadya and Nikolai, to spend the day at the pool, relaxing with drinks and food, and enjoying the view while the kids swim. Really a lovely place.
